How to make a signature image

Sign in the box above — a stylus or a finger on a phone works far better than a mouse; the line is smoothed either way. Undo removes the last stroke. When it looks right, download the transparent PNG: it's automatically cropped to the signature itself, so it drops cleanly into PDFs, Word documents, and email footers. Signing an actual PDF form? Form Desk places your saved signature (or a freshly drawn one) straight onto the document.

Why your signature shouldn't be uploaded

A signature is the one image whose entire purpose is to stand in for you — and the usual "free signature maker" sites upload it to their servers before handing it back. This page has no server: the drawing and the PNG are produced entirely in your browser. Save the page and it works offline.
